Environmental Consultant / Ecologist

A.G.A. Group Consultancy is a well-established company specializing in the aquatic environment
across the UK, particularly in central and southern England. As part of our continued growth,
we are expanding into the terrestrial field of ecology. This strategic shift has created an
exciting opportunity for a dedicated and self-motivated individual to collaborate closely with
the Principal Consultant and Managing Director in developing this new facet of our consultancy.

Position Summary

We are seeking a full-time, on-site Environmental Consultant / Ecologist based in Thetford. In
this role, you will be responsible for conducting environmental impact assessments, preliminary
ecological appraisals, and ensuring environmental compliance. You will also provide expert
environmental consulting services and contribute to various environmental science projects.

Experience in Biodiversity Net Gain and Nutrient Neutrality will be highly advantageous. Your
day-to-day activities will include report writing, data collection, fieldwork, and analysis, as
well as engaging with clients and stakeholders to develop effective environmental solutions.

planning.

• Strong report writing capabilities
• Experience in environmental impact assessment and compliance
• Expertise in environmental consulting and science, including:
  • Biodiversity Net Gain
  • Nutrient Neutrality
  • Habitats and protected species
• Excellent research and analytical skills
• Outstanding written and verbal communication
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team
• A Bachelor’s, Master’s, or advanced degree in Environmental Science, Ecology, or a related
  field
• Professional accreditation or certifications in environmental or ecological disciplines
  (preferred)
• Minimum of three years of relevant work experience
