Environmental Engagement Intern 

Fixed Term Contract: July 2024 – March 2025

Hours: Part time 30 hours a week

Salary: £12 per hour 

An exciting opportunity has been created at Bore Place with support from the Ernest Cook Trust,
for someone to support with the delivery of our community events and citizen science and nature
programme.

The main responsibilities of the role will be to support on community events, the Citizen
Science programme, volunteering programmes, community events, and to assist with marketing and
social media for these programmes.

These programmes have been funded by DEFRA and Kent Downs National Landscapes’ Farming in
Protected Landscapes programme to expand the work of Bore Place carried out by the We are
Nature Project to integrate people of all ages and abilities at the heart of our work for
biodiversity, to achieve better outcomes for wellbeing, environmental awareness/understanding
and wildlife. This project will expand the work of integrating people and nature across the
wider landscape surrounding Bore Place and better understanding our connections both ecological
and as part of the community.
