As part of our Environmental team, you’ll help improve quality of life. With your specialism in environmental management, or your technical or sustainability expertise, your work could involve protected species, pollution, surface water and materials management, air quality or noise. And in some of the world’s busiest and most beautiful locations.We work to protect our natural environment and water resources, while powering our world for future generations. Around the world, we’re feeling the effects climate change, rapid urbanization, loss of biodiversity. The rate at which we’re seeing large-scale, unforeseen events such as floods and wildfires, is becoming more frequent. We are here to protect our natural environment and water resources, while powering our world for future generations.Role accountabilities:The Environmental Professional must possess a willingness to work independently in a field setting for extend periods of time, with some work taking place in remote areas. Other experience/knowledge that may also be of interest include field biology studies, drinking water and wastewater systems, environmental and construction monitoring.Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Fieldwork, including groundwater sampling and installation of groundwater monitoring wells, soil characterization and sampling, soil vapour/indoor air sampling and remediation monitoring.
- Site inspections, Phase 1 Site Assessments, and compliance audit support.
- Aquifer testing, water level measurements, and elevation surveying.
- Subcontractor oversite including drillers, utility locators, etc.
Additional duties may include handling day to day tasks such as:
- Data management,
- Writing and preparation of reports, work plans, letters, and memoranda,
- Preparing cost estimates,
- Conducting project-related research (historical data, regulations, etc.),
- Preparing periodic status/program reports
Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Biology, Environmental Science, Engineering, Geology, or related field.
- 2 years of related environmental work experience

- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Good communication, interpersonal and writing skills
- Effective time management skills
- Strong skills in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Valid driver’s license (work related travel will be compensated)

The salary range for this position is $57,631-91,052. The base salary represents Arcadis’ hiring range for this position.
