Join IQVIA as an Epidemiologist in the Real-World Methods and Evidence Generation team and help us deliver high-quality scientific research to our clients in the global pharmaceutical and healthcare industries.Our goal is to generate scientific evidence that leads to improved healthcare, allowing medical practitioners to treat patients in the most effective way, and health systems to include as many patients as possible. We use available healthcare data to answer research questions such as “what is the extent of medical need and which treatments work for which patients in the real world?” Our dynamic and service-oriented environment attracts individuals who care deeply about the quality as well as timeliness of their work, and who thrive when exposed to the scale and variety of scientific challenges we face.Your primary responsibilities as an Epidemiologist in our team will be wide ranging, including:Leading the design, execution, and reporting of real-world database (RWD) studies, which includes protocol writing and generating study reportsSupporting the writing of proposals for RWD studies in response to client requestsDeveloping abstracts, manuscripts, or conference presentations for projectsContributing to internal initiatives to adopt innovative methodology and improve project deliveryTo be successful in this role, you’ll be required to have:Completed an MSc in epidemiology, public health or related discipline with at least two years of epidemiology research experience post MSc (can include a PhD)Experience in designing and executing (pharmaco-)epidemiological studies, including experience in secondary database studiesExcellent time management skillsAbility to support multiple projects concurrentlyCommitment to working collaboratively and effectively with people of other disciplinesStrong verbal communication and scientific writing skills, attention to detail and scientific rigourHigh proficiency in English (spoken and written) – please submit your CV in EnglishDesired QualitiesCompleted a PhD in epidemiologyExperience working in pharmaceutical or other healthcare industries including relevant contract research organisationsExperience in using large, real-world healthcare databases, such as the UK Clinical Practice Research Datalink database (CPRD)Experience in External Comparator, cancer epidemiology or genomic epidemiology studiesPublications in peer reviewed journals and/or abstracts in scientific conferencesAt IQVIA you will receive the support to develop your pharmacoepidemiology career in a stimulating and supportive environment.
