Visit us today and check out to see why more people from across the globe are moving here.About the OpportunityReporting to the Clinical Engineering Manager, the Equipment Maintenance Technician performs and documents a variety of skilled tasks related to the maintenance, repair, upgrading and installation of equipment, including sterilization, reprocessing, operating room, dietary equipment, medical gas outlet system and patient beds located through all hospital sites through NSH.About YouWe would love to hear from you if you have the following:

  • Grade 12
  • Successful completion of a two-year course in Electronic Engineering (or acceptable equivalent) required.
  • Electronic Certification, Industrial Mechanic Certification, or Industrial Electrical Certification preferred
  • Must have 2 years of relevant working experience with knowledge about plumbing; specific knowledge of electronics/electrical; specific knowledge of hydraulics and pneumatics systems; working knowledge of steam; specific training in mechanical systems; ability to troubleshoot in all of the areas.
  • Travel to other sites may be required. Valid NS Driving license and access to a reliable transportation is required
  • Ability to solve both technical and non-technical problems in a reasonably proficient manner.
  • Ability to work independently with a minimum of direct supervision.
  • Competencies in other languages an asset, French preferred
