  • Partner with EU Regional cross-functional team (Market Access, Commercial and Medical Leads) to ensure the medicine’s strategic and operational plan is flawlessly executed in EU LOC, with particular focus on timely delivery of high-quality resources for optimal reimbursement conditions.
  • Work closely and support EU Regional Market Access Lead, interfacing with Global Product Strategy and EU Regional XF teams when deemed necessary, to fulfil evidence requirements pre-, at and post-launch and address questions LOC will receive from payers and HTA bodies during medicine appraisal phase and negotiations.
  • Partner with LOC and Finance on price proposals and other pricing responsibilities with the aim to optimise LOC access and pricing strategy and mitigate potential IRP impact
  • Monitor, assess and provide strategic guidance on how to manage dynamic and complex changes in the external environment, including changes in the competitive landscape, to minimise impact on price, market access and uptake of GSK’s medicines in Europe.
  • Utilise innovative data science and analytics to deepen understanding of local payer customer needs and beliefs
  • Oversee the development and implementation of local, insight-driven, market access, pricing and value communication strategies and plans as part of launch excellence and business planning of the medicine.
  • Challenge and support Global Product Strategy responsible for developing asset Market Access & Pricing strategies and plans in order to ensure these outputs are meaningful and useful for the LOCs
  • Champion across EU LOC cross-pollination of successfully implemented access/pricing/contracting practices and share learnings (and mitigation plans) from LOC approaches that did not deliver expected results
  • Ensure excellence in execution by defining, monitoring and communicating key performance measurements for the LOCs (e.g. achieved vs. target price, time to reimbursement and breadth of access, etc.)
  • Lead/support the LOC Market Access teams, motivating individuals and holding them accountable to deliver against their objectives, building their capabilities and role modelling GSK Leadership Expectations.
  • Ensure any healthcare solutions developed can be operationalised externally and in alignment/compliance with internal strategies, policies and processes.

Why you?Basic Qualifications & Skills:We are looking for professionals with these required skills to achieve our goals:

  • Higher education degree in a scientific, medical or business discipline OR Master’s degree/MBA or certified healthcare professional (e.g. pharmacist)
  • Extensive experience in the pharmaceutical or healthcare industry, with specific experience in market access or pricing, health economics and a comprehensive understanding of the market access environment, the varying needs of payers and HTA bodies, their review and decision-making processes.
  • Experience of working in a matrix, commercially orientated Market Access and Pricing role at above country level.
  • Leadership (initiating, developing and deploying in GSK affiliates) of pricing, reimbursement and market access projects/activities, preferably in haemato-oncology/speciality medicines.
  • Proven success in bringing medicines through the pricing and reimbursement process as well as driving access and uptake across different therapy areas
  • Effective stakeholder management skills exemplified by payer engagement and negotiating experience resulting in successful, measurable outcomes in patient access to innovative medicines.
  • Good understanding of HTAs systems and healthcare archetypes and of value drivers for optimal reimbursement in EU markets and support LOC in delivering relevant healthcare solutions
  • Strong ability to effectively synthesise RCT (interventional) and real-world (observational) data and evidence and translate into a compelling value proposition
  • High personal accountability and integrity combined with the ability and experience to influence at a strategic level and gain the support and commitment of internal and external stakeholders
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and influence across the LOC/Region/Global Franchise matrix, to include scientific and commercial stakeholders.
  • Ability to work independently towards set objectives and to manage several projects simultaneously.
  • Demonstrated track record as a strategic thinker with strong problem-solving skills and creative, solution-focused approach.

Preferred Qualifications & Skills:Please note the following skills are not necessary, just preferred, if you do not have them, please still apply:

  • MD or PhD in a relevant discipline
  • Significant and varied experience in market access, pricing or relevant function within the pharmaceutical/healthcare industry
  • Previous cross-portfolio and above country experience
  • Proven track record of enabling access of medicines in markets
  • Strong interpersonal and communication (written and verbal) skills
  • Excellent business acumen and demonstrated sustained level of delivery of commercial performance
