We are seeking a motivated, highly organized professional consultant in Brussels for an innovative nonprofit public affairs project centered on health security and research. You will support an alliance advocating for DNA synthesis screening to prevent accidental or intentional disease outbreaks as well as strengthening the EU’s research ecosystem.
 

Location: Brussels, Belgium

Duration: Initially 3 months with potential of up to 5 months, approximately 2 days per week

Organization: Think-tank Pour Demain
 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Advocate for health security proposals with EU institutions and key stakeholders
  • Monitor and report on relevant political and expert meetings
  • Organize events and high-level meetings with officials, MEPs, and political advisers
  • Draft policy briefings and proposals
  • Manage stakeholder relationships

Required Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in EU public affairs and advocacy
  • Strong understanding of EU institutions and key players
  • Excellent writing and communication skills
  • Event organization experience
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
  • Ideally background in health security and research funding

 

Additional Information:

  • Mid-level consultancy position
  • Brussels-based role
  • Compensation: Competitive day rate, to be negotiated based on experience
