ARTE’s European development strategy is supported by a number of European co-funding initiatives which enable it to offer its programmes throughout Europe in six languages (English, Spanish, Polish and Italian, in addition to French and German) on all of the Channel’s digital platforms.

The European funding officer (m/f) will be involved in drawing up funding applications and monitoring the projects.

Your duties

  • Coordinate funding application preparations (drafting in English or French, preparation and submission of administrative and financial documents);
  • Support implementation and administrative and financial monitoring of projects in cooperation with internal contacts and consortia partners;
  • Develop tools for steering the projects and help to identify funding opportunities;
  • Monitor project progress and ensure files are updated regularly;
  • Prepare and draft reports (narrative and financial) in close cooperation with the dedicated teams.

Your strengths

  • You are known for your drafting skills and your ability to analyse and summarise;
  • You are able to come forward with suggestions and take the initiative;
  • You have excellent communication skills and are completely at ease in a multicultural environment;
  • You are a self-starter who is both thorough and organised.

Your profile

  • Master’s degree in political science, international management or project management;
  • Fluency in written and spoken English, French and German;
  • Significant experience of identifying funding opportunities and in setting up and managing European projects;
  • Very good knowledge of European funding programmes, particularly in the media, audiovisual and digital sectors.
