As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for upholding and exemplifying the Mission, Vision, and Values of Good Shepherd Centres in every aspect of your work.In this role, you will support the Events Manager in planning and executing all Good Shepherd events, while also coordinating third-party events. You will assist in the operation of our Sponsor Our Families seasonal program, a crucial initiative that helps us extend our support to families in need. Additionally, you will be responsible for organizing and managing Good Shepherd Staff Appreciation Events, which are vital to fostering a positive and supportive work environment.Your duties will also include creating custom virtual food drives, providing community groups with the materials and support needed to conduct successful food, clothing, or hygiene drives, and ensuring that all community fundraising initiatives are appropriately recognized. You will play an integral role in coordinating large-scale donations, managing donor relations, and ensuring that donors are well-informed about the impact of their contributions. Furthermore, you will track all community initiatives and Gifts in Kind using Raiser’s Edge, ensuring accurate and timely records are maintained.What You’ll Bring to Our Team

  • Post secondary education in a related filed and/or a combination of education and experience
  • A minimum of 3 years experience in a role of similar capacity, including demonstrated experience in planning and implementation of special events
  • Experience with Raiser’s Edge is considered a strong asset
  • Working knowledge of MS Office Suite (i.e. Word, Excel, Email, PP) – demonstrated experience in development activity and tracking spreadsheets
  • Demonstrated ability to adapt in a fast paced and changing work environment
  • Creativity and flexibility in achieving desired outcomes
  • Hospitable in dealings with clients/ public / volunteers / staff, and other key stakeholders
  • Available and responsive to the needs of others in a respectful and compassionate demeanor
  • Excellent verbal and written communication, computer, interpersonal and organizational skills
  • Demonstrated commitment to the mission and values of Responsibility, Availability, Hospitality, Adaptability, Quality and Dignity
  • Valid drivers license and access to a vehicle
  • To observe all Good Shepherd health and safety rules and work in compliance with the provisions of the Occupational Health and Safety Act and its regulations to minimize risk to clients, staff and others as well as to the property of the Good Shepherd
