Location: Lower MainlandOur client is seeking a highly experienced Excavations Manager to oversee excavation projects, manage a skilled team, and ensure projects are completed safely, on time, and within budget. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in excavation operations and have proven expertise in managing project documentation, including invoicing and change orders.
Key Responsibilities:

• Project Management: Lead and manage all aspects of excavation projects, from planning to execution, ensuring compliance with industry standards, regulations, and company guidelines.
• Team Supervision: Supervise excavation crews, subcontractors, and other project staff. Provide direction, support, and training as needed to ensure high performance and safety on-site.
• Scheduling and Coordination: Develop project schedules, coordinate resources, and ensure efficient workflow. Work closely with other departments, clients, and stakeholders to align goals and expectations.
• Invoicing and Change Orders: Prepare, review, and manage all project invoices and change orders. Ensure timely and accurate documentation to maintain project budgets and client satisfaction.
• Safety Compliance: Enforce strict adherence to safety protocols on all job sites, conduct safety audits, and manage incident reports when necessary.
• Budget Management: Monitor project costs, control expenses, and optimize resources to maintain project profitability.
• Quality Control: Oversee quality assurance on all projects to ensure work meets specifications and high standards.
• Problem-Solving: Identify potential project issues proactively and implement solutions to minimize impact on timelines and costs.

Qualifications:

• Experience: Minimum of 5 years in excavation management or a related role within the construction industry, with a proven record of successful project delivery.
• Technical Skills: Strong knowledge of excavation techniques, heavy equipment operation, and site management. Proficiency in project management software and Microsoft Office Suite is a plus.
• Documentation Skills: Experience with project invoicing, change orders, and budget tracking.
• Leadership Skills: Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with team members, clients, and other stakeholders.
• Attention to Detail: Strong organizational skills, with a keen eye for details to ensure accuracy in project documentation and compliance with all requirements.
• Safety Focused: In-depth knowledge of safety regulations and practices within excavation and construction.
