Are you passionate about making a difference? Do you have the leadership skills to

About STfL

STfL is a vibrant and innovative environmental charity planting street trees in
partnership with residents and schools in the London borough of Lewisham. We work closely with
the local authority and are now expanding our work to other boroughs in London.

STfL was launched in 2012, from the start its aim was to address the desire of local
communities to plant street trees despite local authority funding cuts, by finding innovative
ways to fill the funding gap with voluntary contributions of time and money.

We are growing quickly and now have an urban forest of 2,600 trees. We are particularly
focusing on some of the most deprived areas in Lewisham, raising money through grant
applications and using our knowledge and experience from engaging communities through our
residential and school planting projects.

We work with a 400+ strong team of dedicated volunteers who water and care for the
trees ensuring a tree survival rate of above 90%, along with a small management team. There are
currently 8 trustees with a good mix of experience and skills, who meet quarterly.
