Executive Director – Three Year Contract

The AEBC is seeking a self-directed, progressive individual who is “ready to hit the ground running”.
Who We Are:
AEBC is a national charitable organization of primarily blind, deafblind or partially sighted members. We are committed to increasing awareness of our rights, to ensure that we can equally participate in all aspects of society.
Who You Are:
You are an enthusiastic, highly motivated self-starter with experience working with a non-profit organization in either a volunteer or paid capacity. You have lived experience (personal or related) of blindness, deafblindness or partial sight. You have proven experience in organizational development and strategic planning and extensive experience in program planning, implementation, monitoring and evaluation. You have a positive track record in successfully applying for grants and have exceptional interpersonal and written/verbal communications skills that enable you to foster strong relationships with a wide and diverse group of stakeholders. You have some experience with social media and are able to work with software programs in Microsoft 365.
AEBC is looking for a professional who has:
A post-secondary diploma, degree or certificate;
Five + years in the not-for-profit sector and three + years of experience in a leadership role; and
Demonstrated experience/abilities in the following areas:
- Fundraising and grant writing
- program development and delivery
- project management
- Governance and organizational development
- strategic and operational plan management
- volunteer management
- Management of federal funding
Responsibilities and deliverables
· Up to 35 hours per week availability
· Attending 8 – 10 two-hour virtual meetings per month
· Providing support to the AEBC National Board and up to seven AEBC committees
· Working with a contracted Administrative Assistant
· Implementing results-based management processes and systems
· Reviewing, updating and implementing a Strategic/Operational plan
· Developing a Data collection strategy
· Developing assessment tools and measuring the impact of project activities
· Conducting a GBA+ and Evaluating activities based on GBA+
· Developing a Sustainability Plan
· Developing a fundraising strategy and writing grant applications
· Developing a social media strategy and communication plan
· Developing and executing a volunteer recruitment & training program
· Other duties/deliverables upon request from the AEBC President

Salary: $78,158.00-$107,202.00 per year
