We currently have a part time vacancy for a college porter on our main Bailrigg Campus within the Facilities Division at Lancaster University.  The post is offered as part of a Job Share opportunity working an average 21 hours per week.  You will work night and day shifts as per the duty rota.  Day shifts will be 06.30am to 18.30pm and night shifts will be 18.30pm to 06.30am.  You will work on a four week rotational shift pattern averaging out at seven shifts per month and you would be expected to work weekends and Bank Holidays as required by the shift rota. 

You should be hard working, reliable, willing to learn and possess excellent customer service skills. Portering experience is not essential but desirable with experience of working in a similar environment.   You should be educated to GCSE level in Maths and English and be committed to high standards, able to work on your own initiative and have a flexible approach and attitude to solving day to day problems. You should also have a willingness to undergo development training.
