Farm & Water Advisor x2

Reports to: Head of Freshwater (WWT)/Catchment Programme Manager (Wessex RT)
Contract: Funding confirmed for 5 years (6-month probationary period)
Hours: Full-time, 37.5 hours per week
Based at: Hybrid working (remote plus Wessex RT Head Office in Salisbury / WWT
Head Office in Devizes) (one post per organisation)

Wessex Rivers Trust and Wiltshire Wildlife Trust are teaming up to deliver farm and water
advice across the beautiful Hampshire Avon river catchment. Spanning flower rich chalk
downland, crystal clear chalk streams, and New Forest heaths and woodland, the Avon catchment
is like no other.

Wessex Rivers Trust (Wessex RT) is an environmental charity, dedicated to the protection and
conservation of rivers and chalk streams in the Wessex area. Wessex RT is part of the Rivers
Trust movement; the umbrella organisation helping to protect and enhance most of the UK’s
rivers.

Wiltshire Wildlife Trust (WWT) is part of The Wildlife Trusts: A Federation of 46 local
independent charities working across the UK to create a wilder future, in a powerful network
for innovation and advocacy. Founded in 1962, today Wiltshire Wildlife Trust is the leading
charity in Wiltshire and Swindon working to achieve nature’s recovery and connect people with
nature.

This is an exciting opportunity to shape a new, multi-year programme of work to the next level,
helping the Trusts and our stakeholders protect and enhance these special rivers and
landscapes. As an experienced farm and water adviser, you will work closely with your
counterpart and a range of stakeholders to identify, develop and deliver projects which deliver
tangible outcomes for these special chalk streams and their iconic wildlife.
