Field Assistant

Olive Branch Organization is an independent non-profit organization committed to fostering community development and economic empowerment. Our mission is to empower community members, enabling them to overcome challenges and creatively invest their resources.
Aiming at the continuity of the already started efforts in Defne, the Field Assistant will devote 100% of their time, playing a crucial role in assisting the team in implementing various activities. They will also support the administrative team in recording documents, managing logistics fieldwork, and assisting the MEAL (Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability, and Learning) team.

Responsibilities:
· Help gather and compile the needs of the target communities to support effective project planning and implementation.

· Support the efficient and effective implementation of various project activities to achieve the project goals.

· Contribute to maintaining effective communication with the senior supervisor regarding all issues related to project implementation.

· Inform the senior supervisor daily about the progress of the project activities.

· Liaise with the senior supervisor to ensure that project management procedures are followed in accordance with Olive Branch and donor requirements.

· Assist in preparing and sharing daily, weekly, and monthly reports with the project manager.

· Support the registration of project beneficiaries according to Olive Branch Organization standards in coordination with the direct supervisor.

· Participate with the work team in evaluating prices and identifying suppliers regularly in coordination with the senior supervisor.

· Assist in verifying the authenticity of the documents uploaded to the lists of beneficiaries in coordination with the senior supervisor.

· Collect data and feedback about the project’s performance and provide the project manager with necessary information, if required.

Required Qualifications and Experience:
Education:

  • Institute degree as a minimum.
  • Relevant professional experience.

Experience:

  • Priority is given to those with at least 2 years of previous experience in project management. Experience with humanitarian associations is preferred.

Skills:

  • Good organizational and administrative skills and teamwork.
  • Good communication and negotiation skills.
  • Strong computer skills and high proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, and Teams.

Languages:

  • Turkish and/or Arabic is a must, English is desirable.
