Job Description:OverviewReporting to the PFC – Away From Home – National Sales Manager, the Field Sales Manager, Ontario (FSM) is accountable for leading a team of Sales Representatives to deliver against AOP business (Volume, Net Revenue, MC$, etc.) and people objectives across all Foodservice packages and channel types.The FSM, Ontario is responsible for leading the effective activation and execution of the key sales priorities with their team. The successful incumbent will endeavor to align their geographic sales plans with Foods stakeholders and act as a field liaison to the local AFH Leadership Team.What you can expect from us:

Responsibilities

  • Deliver gross sales volume, MC$ and net revenue objectives as outlined at annual operating plan in a manner that is consistent with the strategic direction for the business.
  • Effectively coach, train, develop and motivate key direct reports to ensure individual personal growth and development.
  • Assist in the development and execution of business strategies that will link customer and brand needs to create a win-win partnership with our key customers.
  • Develop effective relationships with key customer contacts in driving for results – “Wire to Win” in a manner that leads to competitive advantage with customers.
  • Lead in the improvement of Better Together operating effectiveness in dealing with our key customers by helping to develop account specific business opportunities.
  • Ensure the team develops an intimate understanding of customer strategies, business plans, practices and processes in order to optimize business results.

Qualifications

  • Post-secondary education is required. Preferably in Business
  • Broad based experience in varied disciplines – Sales, Sales Management, and Cross-Channel experience.
  • Scope of experience in the range of 5 – 7 years with a cross-section of industry/portfolio and leadership experience.
  • The work environment for this position demands some travel and thorough knowledge and extensive use of technology supporting business management practices
  • A proven sales leader with experience leading, developing and coaching sales teams in the CPG industry.
  • Required to have a thorough understanding of the marketplace environment impacting the customer. Key skill sets to be successful would include – Business Planning, Conflict Management, Savvy Communication, and Influence Management
  • Strong selling and negotiating skills.
  • Well-developed interpersonal communication skills, an assertive, proactive, and analytical approach with a sales background.
  • Ability to work within a team environment.
  • Moderate travel required within Ontario Market
