In Abbott’s Electrophysiology (EP) business, we’re advancing the treatment of heart disease through breakthrough medical technologies in atrial fibrillation, allowing people to restore their health and get on with their lives.
We are now recruiting for a Field Technical Engineer , responsible for providing expert support and advise on the use of the Abbott EP portfolio within the assigned region (key accounts include Norwich, Cambridge, Basildon).
What you’ll do:

Provide expert clinical consultation, teaching and support on the use of all EP products and their appropriate application in the clinical setting.

Maintain up to date technical knowledge of current and new therapies and technologies within the therapy area, including competitor devices, as well as a general understanding of the dynamics of the country healthcare market.

Provide technical support to the EP salesforce.

Respond to technical questions that might be raised by EMEA or customers.
What you’ll need:

Individuals will ideally have a BSc in a science related degree.

Experience with electrophysiology products either within a clinical setting or in an equivalent role within industry, would be ideal.

Strong cardiac anatomy and physiology knowledge.

A willingness to travel 75% of the time and ability to work autonomously.

Self-confidence, with strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
