The Head of Finance and Operations is an exciting opportunity to work in a busy, passionate,
growing environmental charity. As part of the Senior Management Team, you will help to develop
and deliver Gwent Wildlife Trusts strategy and business plan. 

You will be required to manage and continuously improve the functions of the Finance and
Operations team to support the work of Gwent Wildlife Trust and lead colleagues to exceed
compliance and be recognised for achieving best practice in the non-profit sector across:
Health and Safety, Finance, IT, HR, and Governance. 

You will require a high-level working knowledge of Sage and be experienced in book-keeping,
managing all aspects of financial administration including, but not limited to, budgets, petty
cash, invoicing, purchase orders, payments, preparation of monthly and annual papers, payroll,
pension, VAT and end of year accounts, maintaining a robust financial system.
