Location: Damascus – Syria.

Job Description

The Finance Officer is responsible for managing the financial affairs of the center in accordance with the accounting and administrative standards adopted by Rahma Around the World. This includes executing financial operations with accuracy and transparency while ensuring compliance with approved financial policies and procedures.

Main Responsibilities:

• Assist in maintaining financial records and documentation.
• Input and manage financial data in Excel spreadsheets, ensuring accuracy.
• Support the preparation of financial reports, budgets, and expense tracking.
• Process invoices, receipts, and payments while maintaining proper documentation.
• Assist with cash management and basic financial reconciliations.
• Organize and store financial documents in compliance with internal policies.
• Communicate with vendors and service providers regarding financial transactions.
• Support audits and ensure financial compliance with organizational guidelines.
• Collaborate with the finance team to improve financial processes.

Qualifications

• Basic understanding of financial principles and accounting procedures.
• Previous experience in Excel (data entry, formulas, and basic financial formuulas).
• Ability to communicate in basic English (reading and writing preferred).
• Knowledge of cloud-based applications for financial management and documentation.
• Previous experience in a finance-related role is a plus.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to handle financial documents with confidentiality.
• Experience in the non-profit sector is an advantage but not required.
• Willingness to learn and adapt to financial management systems.
