About the Role

The successful candidate will work in the IHSE Finance Team, processing financial information, invoicing, payroll, accounts reconciliation, management accounts, placement related planning and transactions for the MBBS and associated programmes within the Institute of Health Sciences Education (IHSE). The post holder will work closely with academic and professional staff.

About You

The successful candidate will be a newly qualified or part-qualified accountant with extensive finance experience ideally from previous roles. A high level of numerical, analytical and IT skills is essential. The post holder will have a proven record of being organised and working on their own initiative. The ability to work independently, problem solve and prioritise tasks, as well as working in a team.

One of six Institutes forming the Faculty of Medicine & Dentistry, the Institute for Health Sciences Education (IHSE) is responsible for the delivery of the Faculty’s medical degree programmes. Together with partner hospitals and primary care practices, we provide an innovative, forward-thinking, and responsive curriculum to our passionate, diverse student body.

The post is based at the Whitechapel Campus in London. It is full time (35 hours per week), fixed term appointment for 6 months, with an expected start date of July 2023.  The starting salary will be Grade 5, in the range of £41,386 – £48,414 per annum, inclusive of London Allowance.
