Description Robert Half is currently working with a client seeking an interim Finance Manager.Join our team on a contract basis, where you will be responsible for providing the required financial information, analysis, and advice in order to make financially sound decisions, working closely with management in various business groups. In addition, the Finance Manager will be tasked with the responsibility of articulating the financial results at the end of each reporting period and for each planning cycle.
Your responsibilities in this role
Enhance financial performance by improving forecasting and modelling accuracy, reporting results to executive leadership and key stakeholders, analyzing results and trends to create impactful insights, and developing operating and financial metrics- Work with business unit leaders on overall business strategy and the completeness and accuracy of the material inputs to the company financial model
Establish processes, improve close cycle times and reduce errors by coordinating with the accounting team
Assemble detailed business unit projections, highlight risks/opportunities, and oversee the preparation of relevant materials
Establish strong partnerships with leaders across the organization
Develop methods to automate and institute reports using BI tools and financial systems
Assemble findings, recommendations, and reporting for executive-level management
Oversee and coordinate the reforecast processes and the annual/quarterly/monthly budget Requirements
2+ years of people development and leadership experience
Bachelor or Business Administration degree with a specialization in Finance or Accounting
Knowledge of accounting systems and budgetary software
Strong communication (written and verbal) skills to interact clearly and effectively in a fast-changing environment
Strong skills in MS Excel, including financial modeling and data analysis capabilities
Minimum of 4+ years of progressive experience in a FP& A capacity
MBA preferred
Solid understanding of financial modeling and accounting implications
