Please note this vacancy is being advertised on behalf of Edge Hill Student’s Union which is a separate entity from Edge Hill University.
Edge Hill Students’ Union is a charitable organisation that provides advocacy, engagement, and campaign services on behalf of our students to ensure they have a high-quality university experience whilst they study at Edge Hill University. We also operate several revenue-generating services to deliver our objectives.
We are about to go through an exciting phase of development, with a new Students’ Union building being built which is due to open in September 2024. This will involve a 12–18-month transition period for our trading services (food and beverage outlets, events facility, and launderette) and as such we require a confident, decisive, forward thinking Finance Manager to work closely with our Chief Executive and Director of Student Engagement to ensure financial sustainability throughout this project. You will lead and develop our Support Team (currently a Finance & Payroll Assistant and a HR & Executive Support Officer).
Working closely with the Support Team and under the guidelines of both Company and Charity Law, you will be expected to work with our core values in mind to assist with the development of, and improvement to, Edge Hill Students’ Union financial systems, processes and activities.
