About the role

  • Prepare and present insights based on analyses, key metrics trending and quantified risks and opportunities
  • Financial modelling, analysis, interpretation and recommendations that support management decision making
  • Create and manage financial reporting for period end, forecasts and plans that form the basis of decision making
  • Working closely with Business Unit (BU) partners to understand their business, help them understand their financial drivers, and challenge their assumptions
  • Work directly with stakeholders to ensure adequate cash balances are available for forecasted payments
  • Analyze and review weekly/monthly/yearly reports and identify inventory imbalances
  • Prepare reports to monitor forecast accurately and analyze inventory trends
  • Full Accounts Payables (AP) Cycle: Administer Invoices and check reconciliations
  • Produce AP listings and reconciliations, including monthly variance analyses
  • Drive growth and profitability improvements through financial analysis to identify key opportunities
  • Perform variety of general accounting support tasks as defined by management.

What you bring to the role

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited University in Accounting / Finance, with 3 to 5 years of professional experience
  • Strong analytic skills with the ability to extract, collect, organize, analyze and interpret results for insights
  • Strong knowledge of business fundamentals and financial acumen
  • Inventory management skills are important
  • Prioritization and organization skills
  • Must have very good problem-solving ability
  • Effective communicator
  • Knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite: Excel, Access, Word
  • Statutory Accounting Principles (SAP) and/or Quantum Experience
  • Bilingual (English & French).

Additional skills desired for the role

  • Knowledge of engine Maintenance, Repair and Overhaul (MRO) business desired
  • An Master of Business Administration (MBA)/Certified Public Accountant (CPA) would be an asset.
