We are offering a long-term contract employment opportunity in the industry for a Financial Analyst based in Toronto, Ontario. This role involves working across two teams, handling large data sets, and creating insightful reports. The position requires a good command of Excel, including PIV and VLOOKUPs, and a quick adaptability to new processes and software.Responsibilities:
- Analyzing large data sets to provide meaningful insights
- Creating detailed financial reports using Excel
- Utilizing advanced Excel skills, including PIV and VLOOKUPs
- Collaborating across two teams to ensure effective communication and results
- Learning and adapting to new software such as MS Dynamics 365
- Maintaining accurate records of financial data
- Handling account and balance sheet reconciliations
- Adhering to compliance requirements in all tasks
- Performing ad hoc financial analysis as required
- Continuously learning and improving skills in financial analysis and reporting.
- Minimum of 1 year experience as a Financial Analyst or in a related field
- Proficiency in Account Reconciliation, Balance Sheet Account Reconciliation, and Bank Account Reconciliation
- Experience with Cash Reconciliations, Credit Card Reconciliation, and Daily Reconciliation
- Familiarity with Financial Reconciliation, Monthly Account Reconciliation, and Monthly Bank Reconciliation
- Ability to perform Monthly Reconciliation and Reconcile Bank Statements
- Strong skills in Analysis Documentation, Compliance Documentation, and Project Documentation
- Knowledge of Process Documentation and User Documentation
- Ability to Assess Compliance, Audit Compliance, and understand Banking Compliance
- Experience with Compliance Assessments, Compliance Audit, and Compliance Functions
- Familiarity with Compliance Management and Compliance Reporting
- Ability to identify and manage Compliance Risk
- Proficiency in Ad Hoc Analysis, Ad Hoc Financial Analysis, and Analysis Planning
- Experience with Account Analysis, Business Analysis, and Cash Flow Analysis
- Ability to perform Comparable Analysis, Complex Financial Analysis, and Conduct Analysis
- Knowledge of Cost Reduction Analysis, Cost Analysis, and Credit Analysis
- Proficiency in Data Analysis, Expense Analysis, and Financial Analysis
- Experience with Financial Planning & Analysis (FP& A)
- Proficiency in Excel Formulas, Microsoft Excel, and Excel VBA.
