Financial AnalystBurnaby, BCResponsibilities:

Conduct financial analysis, including variance analysis, trend analysis, and forecasting, to support decision-making and strategic planning.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and maintain financial models for budgeting, forecasting, and scenario planning.
Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and periodic forecasts, working closely with departmental managers to align financial goals with operational objectives.
Monitor inventory balances and update mill operations software to support more accurate variance analysis.
Maintain inventory item master attributes, including standard costs and bill of materials.
Coordinate cycle count process and assist with inventory verification and analysis for quarter- and year-end audits.
Analyze product-level profitability.
Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and financial metrics to track business performance and identify areas for improvement.
Support the preparation of presentations and materials for senior management and board meetings, summarizing financial results, analyses, and recommendations.
Assist with ad hoc financial projects and initiatives as assigned by management, leveraging analytical skills and business acumen to drive results.
Carries out additional duties and projects as assigned.
Follow Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP’s) while performing job duties and tasks.

Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field; CFA, CPA, or relevant professional certification preferred.
4+ years’ experience in financial analysis, planning, or related roles, preferably in the manufacturing or food industry.
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial modeling techniques; experience with Microsoft D365 – Finance & Operations and Power BI is an asset.
Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, with the ability to synthesize complex data into actionable insights.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues at all levels of the organization.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Strategic mindset, with the ability to think critically and contribute to the achievement of organizational goals.
