You may participate in or contribute to negotiations for fleet purchases and leases, as well as conduct/participate in safety training and ensure compliance with safety regulations (e.g., hazardous material handling). In addition, you will investigate any accidents involving transportation vehicles.How will you contribute to the success of DHL?Oversee and facilitate the efficient and economical operation and maintenance of all DHL owned or leased vehicles and related equipment.Administer vehicle fleet policies regarding the purchase and disposal of vehicles, insurance and expense reports, accident reviews, safety and maintenance.Ensure the necessary number of vehicles are operational and available for use when needed. Establish and monitor parts inventory control system, fleet tracking system and vehicle numbering system.Ensure that the inspection, licensing, and insurance of all vehicles are in compliance with company policy and applicable governmental regulations.Oversee Fleet fuel management systemsCommunicate and coordinate with outside vendors who perform fleet maintenance. Assist in the development and management of the fleet operating budget.Responsible for hiring, coaching, training, and developing subordinate staff.Assign work, sets completion dates, reviews work, and manage performance in accordance with organizational policies, procedures, and performance management processes.Qualifications – ExternalDo you have what it takes?Typically requires BS/BA in related discipline and 5+ years’ experience in related field.Excellent Automotive Mechanical Aptitude RequiredKnowledge of Commercial vehicle operation, trucking and logistics industriesExcellent creative thinking, analytical skillsExcellent decision makerInspirational leader and motivatorHighest standards of communication skills are essentialExcellent developer and team builderKnowledge of DHL networks is essentialNetwork of relevant internal contacts desirableProven record in achieving targets/objectivesNavigation of various data and web-based applicationsGood written communication, problem solving and interpersonal skillsFinancial Acumen (experience in building business cases for Capex), experience with P & L, AOPFleet Telematics management experienceProficiency in Microsoft tools (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, etc), knowledge in Power BI is an assetThank you for your application.
