Specifically, we’re seeking individuals who have excelled in Food and Nutrition at both GCSE and A-level, and who hold a degree in a Food and Nutrition related field.

As a Food and Nutrition technician, you will be working in a secondary school environment with 11 – 16-year-olds who require continuity, positive role models, patience and understanding.WHAT DOES THE FOOD AND NUTRITION GRADUATE TEACHING ASSISTANT ROLE INVOLVE:
Supporting the class teacher and students during lessons.
Procurement of, setting up and maintaining a wide range of equipment.
Keeping up to date with current guidance to ensure a safe working environment.
Organisation and preparation of ingredients for use by students or teachers in lessons.WHAT SUPPORT WILL I BE GIVEN AS A FOOD AND NUTRITION GRADUATE TEACHING ASSISTANT?
Youll be given training, guidance and support by an experienced consultant at Prospero and our Training and Development Team (all experienced teachers) as well as from the school themselves.
A programme of FREE Training and CPD sessions are also offered.School Support:
You will be provided with resources and strategies to support learners, behaviour management training, group and 1:1 training from qualified, experienced passionate staff.FOOD AND NUTRITION GRADUATE TEACHING ASSISTANT:
· Full-time school hours, 8am – 5pm, Monday to Friday.
· The role is paid weekly at a daily rate of GBP125 per day and can become a permanent post in the future.
PROSPERO TEACHING IS ABLE TO OFFER THE FOLLOWING SUCCESSFUL FOOD AND NUTRITION TEACHING ASSISTANTAPPLICANTS:
· Free, accredited continued professional development courses including safeguarding and behaviour management
· In-house Training and Development Team
