The purpose of the Material Handler II is to accurately transfer product, both physically and logically, into and/or out of warehouse locations, load/unload trailers, move product throughout the facility with powered industrial equipment and perform inventory counts as required.Essential FunctionsPull orders accurately as assigned.Read, interpret and apply Warehouse Management System (WMS) order instructionsStage orders according to carrier location and verify: number of pallets picked as well as stage locationRecognize and correct potential process errors before actions adversely affect the customer. Recognize damaged product at any point in the warehousing process and take appropriate action when discoveredPrepare receiving, storage and shipping documentation retaining product accountability throughout the logistical processBe aware of and follow location and work center Safety and Security policies and proceduresMay be required to train others in various warehouse functions, including the safe operation of various powered industrial lift equipment. Perform housekeeping dutiesAdditional ResponsibilitiesSome locations may require a Motor Vehicles Records (MVR) check as a part of the background screening process to drive a company vehicle as needed.Performs other duties as assigned.Skills and AbilitiesAbility to read, do basic mathematics, understand and respond to written and verbal instructions in English for the purposes of safety, work instructions, policies, etcAbility to lift up to 50 pounds unassistedAbility to input data into computer system(s) in useWork overtime as assignedAbility to create and maintain professional relationships within all levels of the organization (peers, work groups, customers, supervisors)Ability to work independently and as member of a teamCapable of multi-tasking, highly organized with excellent time management skillsFlexibility to operate and self-driven to excel in a fast-paced environmentDetail oriented with excellent follow-up practicesQualificationsH.S. diploma/GED preferredOne (1 year or more related warehouse experience preferredOne (1 year or more powered industrial lift experience preferredPowered industrial truck certificationSafety SensitiveNon-Regulated Tech-Operate fork-lift equipment or other warehouse machineryDOT Regulated
