We’re on the lookout for an enthusiastic Foundation Healthcare Academic Sessional Lecturer to join our vibrant team in Hatfield, Hertfordshire.As a Foundation Healthcare Academic Sessional Lecturer, you’ll play a key role in teaching our Foundation HSK100 module, dedicating 4 hours per week over 5 weeks. This module provides students with invaluable insight into various healthcare professions (Nursing, Physiotherapy, and more) while preparing them for university interviews and personal statement writing. You’ll have the chance to shape and inspire future healthcare leaders, contributing to teaching material development, course design, and module delivery.Hours of Work: 4 hours per weekSalary: £24.90 to £41.79 per hour, depending on your qualifications and teaching experienceFoundation Healthcare Academic Sessional Lecturer Requirements:

  • A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent field experience
  • Proven experience in teaching and assessment within UK higher or further education
  • A teaching qualification (or a willingness to work towards one), with the ability to engage international students
  • A strong commitment to supporting students from diverse backgrounds
  • Excellent communication skills—both written and verbal
  • Flexibility and adaptability to thrive in a dynamic educational environment
  • A thorough understanding of equal opportunity issues and how they relate to academic content and student needs

Desirable Skills and Experience:

  • A Master’s degree or higher in a relevant subject
  • PhD or Professional Doctorate in a related field
  • NHS experience
  • Expertise in curriculum design
  • Connections with industry professionals and employers in the healthcare sector
