You will be essential in helping our students develop a love of the French language and culture as a French teacher.This is a long-term position beginning in September!Why join us?

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan and deliver dynamic and effective French lessons to students of varying levels.
• Develop a comprehensive curriculum that covers a wide range of topics and language skills.
• Utilise a variety of teaching methods to accommodate different learning styles.
• Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback and support.
• Encourage critical thinking and intellectual curiosity among students.
• Participate in departmental meetings and contribute to curriculum development.
• Organise and supervise extracurricular activities, such as French clubs and field trips.
• Maintain a positive and inclusive classroom environment.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in French, education, or a related field (master’s degree preferred).
• Teaching qualification (e.g., PGCE, QTS) or equivalent.
• Proven experience teaching French at the secondary school level.
• 2 proven professional references.
• Eligibility to work in the UK.
• An enhanced DBS update service or is willing to apply a new one.
• Strong knowledge of the French language and culture.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.
• Ability to inspire and motivate students Commitment to ongoing professional development.
