Position Summary

Join Miovision’s Computer Vision team to build interactive visualization tools that power safer, smarter cities. Computer vision is core to all our products and you will lead the development of a library of interactive components using TypeScript and Angular that allows users to configure scenes for our computer vision algorithms. You will also work closely with other members of the Computer Vision team to create dashboards for evaluating computer vision algorithm performance. Your work will help deliver efficient and accurate computer vision algorithms which are leveraged at the core of our products, helping cities create safer streets and reduce traffic congestion.

We practice DevOps, and developers manage the development, deployment, and monitoring of our products. You will directly see the impact of your deliverables pushed to production frequently, being utilized by your colleagues and making their way to customer-facing products. You will also have frequent opportunities to demonstrate your work with a wider audience excited to learn more about the latest developments coming from our team. Key Accountabilities

  • Lead the implementation of new front end library components to configure computer vision algorithms.

  • Create dashboards to display and validate computer vision algorithm performance for the Computer Vision team, as well as Product Managers and the Senior Leadership within Miovision.

  • Discuss, recommend, and implement architecture and code structure considerations with the team

  • Participate in the code review process, elevating the bar on quality and code structure

  • Participate in run-time optimization

  • Ensure high quality of work using both manual and automated testing

  • Participate in technical roadmap discussions and estimation exercises

    Skills & Qualifications

  • 2+ years of experience with JavaScript or TypeScript

  • Ability to interact with a variety of partners such as UX designers, Computer Vision developers, and product owners

  • Strong software architecture and development skills

  • Experience with Agile, collaborative development environments

  • Curiosity to dive into technical details of how things work

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

    Additional Assets

  • Strong understanding of UX principles for data-driven applications

  • Experience with modern JavaScript or TypeScript development (e.g. Angular)

  • Experience with Looker and d3.js or other graphics/visualization libraries

  • Experience with Python libraries (e.g. Flask, NumPy, and pandas)

  • Experience with version control systems (git) and cloud-based architecture and services (e.g. AWS, GCP, Azure)

  • Familiarity with computer vision algorithms and methods

  • Familiarity with Machine Learning Operations (MLOps) pipelines

  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines
