We are in search of a determined Full Charge Bookkeeper for our client in the Construction/Contractor industry. In this Full Charge Bookkeeper position, you will regulate journal entries, month-end close, cash flow, financial statement preparation, audit, full cycle A/P, payroll, and bank reconciliations. The clerical staff will be managed by the Full Charge Bookkeeper. Organized accounting professionals who thrives under tight deadlines with minimal supervision and are self-driven so succeed as a Bookkeeper, this role could be for you! This permanent employment opportunity is based in the Stoney Creek, Ontario area.Major responsibilities– Maintain sales tax records and creates and files quarterly payments– Regulate Accounts Receivable– Accounts Payable– Clarify business license and gross receipts– Create cash flow projections, as needed– Other unique projects when they come up– Assemble subcontractor 1099’s, and any other IRS year-end requirement– Conduct monthly accounting close– Form cash account journal entries including loans, taxes, bank fees, 401(k) deductions, etc.– Mark budget transfers– Ready monthly reconciliations, financial statements and all supporting documents– Skilled in credit card management and reconciliation
– BA/BS in Accounting, Finance, Economics or other business-related field preferred– Dedication and requisite skills to meet critical business deadlines– Demonstrated ability to implement solutions, strong analytical and communication skills as well– Demonstrated knowledge of Accounts Payable (AP)– ADP Financial Services experience– Microsoft Outlook experience highly desired– Comprehensive knowledge of Accounting Software Systems– General familiarity with Accounts Receivable (AR)– Strong familiarity with Microsoft Excel– Adeptness in Accounting Functions– Background working with Sage Accounting Software– Billing Functions experience highly preferred– Microsoft Office Suites experience– Practical knowledge of bank reconciliations– Ability to work in a dynamic and changing environment– Progressive accounting experience, including as a Bookkeeper preferred– Sound written and verbal communication skills– Highly organized, attentive, has a sense of urgency, flexible and able to deal with frequent interruptions and changing priorities– Seizes opportunities to produce results without direct supervision– Attention to detail and ability to follow standard procedures is a requirementRobert Half is the world’s first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
