For every child, a Childhood
The Fundraising Associate (Platforms Monitoring), at the GS6 level in the PFP area in the Country Office of Chile, reports to Fundraising Chief to ensure transversal service to all PFP channels. This new position will be responsible to manage our actual middleware fundraising platforms, coordinate new developments analyze the configuration of new payment methods and support ICT team to ensure our PCI compliance environment.
Under the guidance of the Fundraising Chief the selected candidate will play a key role in coordinating, monitoring, analisis of existing middleware fundraising platforms Fundraising platforms and their middleware software. This role will also have the responsibility to assist the fundraising chief to identify new fundraising opportunities with the use of platforms or, new payment methods or any other new fundraising technologies: servers, data storage, etc. This role will assist the fundraising chief to develop a continuous cycle of improvement for all fundraising platforms working with all users and developing partner. Another important role of this position will be ensure to PFP Chile operation works under PCI compliance regulation working close with ICT Associate and Operation Manager.
How can you make a difference?
1. Monitoring and coordination of actual fundraising middleware platforms:
a. Monitoring in a frequently basis the adequate functioning of the fundraising platforms, watching closely their performance and their middleware connections.
b. Report and coordinate the right technology solution with support of the developing partners.
c. Track user report incidents and their solving to ensure that the fundraising operation is not impacted.
d. Build and follow platforms KPIs, including stability, data reliability, connectivity and efficiency.
e. Cultivate positive relationships with all vendors, integrating partners and users associated with the fundraising platforms.
f. Develop an agile working methodology with all internal and external stakeholders of each platform to maximize performance within budget.
g. Maintain the regular coordination with the technical partner and internal users to solve daily operation pf the platforms.
2. Analyzing of new middleware fundraising platforms:
a. Develop a mapping advice on platforms and technology to improve our UNICEF fundraising operation.
b. Provide technical advice on development of new interfaces or systems to get more efficiency in debit process.
c. Develop mapping and recommendation to payment gateways and new payment systems.
d. Lead the integration of new fundraising technologies in PFP ensuring: Performance, availability, usability, testability, security, interoperability, scalability, modificability and deployability.
3. Ensure a properly PCI compliance within PFP operation:
a. Assist the completion of the PCI compliance assessments.
b. Regularly monitor the PCI framework
c. Develop a monitoring and security procedure to ensure that all PCI compliance necessities are working properly.
d. Support ICT team to maintain certificates, landing pages and hosting under PCI and security regulations.
e. Weekly monitoring of fulfillment security goals.
f. Prepare reports for supervisors on PCI compliance and security procedures.
g. Lead the closure of PCI gaps with all stakeholders.
h. Ensuring that fundraising platforms and processes are compliant with PCI DSS regulations and UNICEF’s security policies and procedures
4. Innovation develops
a. Assist the PFP Chief to analyze and discover new technologies or platforms to improve our fundraising operation.
b. Support PFP team to develop or find the best options to run up innovation projects.
5. Administrative Tasks:
a. Manage quotation and billing processes to all middleware platforms.
b. Manage the daily work and administration with the developing partners.
c. Handle various administrative tasks effectively.
This position is pivotal in supporting the fundraising operation goals.
1. Continuous and Systematic Control:
Ensure a continuous and systematic control and overview of the middleware fundraising platforms and their middleware.
2. Development of New Initiatives:
Spearhead the development of new initiatives and activities, exploring innovative systems technologies or technology platforms
3. PCI and security assessment:
Facilitate and maintain the correct PCI compliance regulation. Ensure that all fundraising operation works under security regulations and recommendations

The following minimum requirements:
• Education: Completion of secondary education, preferably supplemented by management, computer engineering, systems engineering, application/software development or information technology or equivalent professional work experience in Systems engineering, marketing, sales, communications, or related areas training or university courses in these areas.
• Work Experience: A minimum of 6 years of practical work experience monitoring or developing systems. Fundraising experience and knowledge of Transbank, PCI compliance and debit platforms is an asset.
• Skills: Advanced MS excel. One or more of the following languages will be an asset: JS/Node, Pyhton/node, Python/flask, SQL/No SQL, PHP. CMS, CRM and API REST knowledge. Basics of serverless technologies such as AWS, Lambdas, GCP cloud functions. And any cloud in general. Knowledge of computer systems and architecture, databases, internet navigation, and various Office applications.
• Language Requirements: Fluency in English and Spanish.
- A bachelor’s degree from a recognized academic institution in a field relevant to the position may be considered to compensate for three (3) years of experience in case the candidate lacks the required experience.
- A master’s degree from a recognized academic institution in a field relevant to the position may be considered to compensate for an additional two (2) years (in addition to the three years from above, totaling 5 years).
