The NO-A Fundraising Officer in the PFP Area of the Peru CO is accountable to the NO-B Individual Giving Fundraising Officer. Presently, approximately 85% of the monthly gross revenues are sourced from the donor portfolio, while the remaining 15% is derived from newly acquired donors. In order to augment our annual active donor count, it is imperative to fortify our acquisition strategy, emphasizing quality and pledging net long-term value to ensure program sustainability over an extended period.
How can you make a difference?
Under the guidance and leadership of the NO-B Individual Giving Fundraising Officer, the Fundraising Officer will oversee new acquisition projects with a focus on fostering quality growth, analyze current acquisition strategies, and collaborate with the team to implement enhancements aimed at reducing early attrition.
- Implementing Fundraising campaigns: support the implementation of fundraising campaigns and activities that includes Face to Face and Telemarketing campaigns) Undertake different types of analysis information to improve and ensure campaign goals, fulfillment and attrition rates.
- Implementing and delivering Fundraising material: Support negotiations and agreements with suppliers to provide technical support for the Annual Fundraising plan in coordination with Marketing Services. Follows up of the implementation of different BTL activities Timely implementation of workplan taking into consideration the campaign goals.
- Monitoring and evaluation: Regular monitoring, testing and evaluation activities are undertaken in accordance with the work plan to ensure maximum impact and continuous improvement of individual fundraising efforts. Results and reports are prepared and shared on a timely basis.
- Analysis: Research, synthesize and compile qualitative and quantitative data and information to facilitate preparation of reports, objectives, activities, etc.
- Administrative tasks and responsibilities are effectively carried out and delivered: Provide technical support to search and evaluate potential suppliers, prepare terms of reference for quotations. Follow up quotation process. Responsible of monitors budgets and financial expenditures, ensuring compliance with UNICEF rules and regulations, keeping supervisor informed and advised on actions for follow up.
The proposed post will contribute to the expansion of the Individual Giving channel by:
- Implementing innovative and cost-effective fundraising strategies: It’s anticipated that these innovative and cost-effective approaches will ensure a return on investment of at least 3. As a result, UNICEF will have additional funds to allocate towards the CPD.
- Recommending enhancements to current acquisition strategies: We anticipate that these improvements will result in more impactful outreach efforts and improved conversion rates, ultimately expanding the donor base and boosting revenue.
- Analyzing relevant data to be included in the PFP plan: By scrutinizing data on donor behavior, market trends, and campaign performance, informed decisions can be made, facilitating the refinement of the Private Fundraising Plan to optimize its impact and efficacy.

The following minimum requirements:
• Education: A first university degree (equivalent to a Bachelor’s) in Business Management, Communication, Marketing, International Relations, Social Sciences or related field is required.
• Work Experience: At least one year of relevant work experience in fundraising, social projects, marketing or sales, business administration or related careers is required;
• Language Requirements: Fluency in English is required.
The following desirables:
• Experience and skills: Fundraising experience, hands-on technical expertise in a multi-channel campaign environment is highly desirable.
• Language: Knowledge of another official UN language (Arabic, Chinese, French, Russian or Spanish) or local language of the duty station (as quechua, aimara, and indigenous or amazonic dialects).
