We are seeking an enthusiastic individual to join the Bidding Support Team (BST) in Research Services, as one of two Funding Information and Research Officers.
You will gain an in-depth knowledge of the funding landscape and working across the university to raise awareness of funding opportunities including by delivering workshops, 1 to 1 meetings with staff, and managing university funding subscription services.
You will work alongside academic and professional support staff to assist with institutional processes, eligibility checks, bid development, costing support and submission. Knowledge of the bidding lifecycle and good drafting and writing skills are therefore essential in order to be successful in this role, as is the ability to prioritise and manage multiple tasks and demands whilst working to tight deadlines.
This is an exciting position as it will afford you the opportunity to work across the university (and beyond), engaging with a wide range of audiences to inspire, encourage and build capacity. You will work with the BST to facilitate cross-institutional working and stimulate interest in interdisciplinary bidding, therefore strong interpersonal skills including the ability to work collaboratively is essential. You will also support with BST communications and manage sections of the BST webpages to ensure relevant information is included and key stakeholders are engaged.
