Fundraiser

The Froglife Trust is a national wildlife conservation organisation with a specific focus on
our native reptile and amphibian populations and their habitats, see www.froglife.org. We have expertise in creating and restoring
wildlife sites across the United Kingdom, and for delivering a creative and educational
programmes of public engagement. We are in the process of developing a new project in Yorkshire,
called Coalface to Wildspace – Yorkshire, an area where we have worked on previous projects.

We aim to achieve landscape scale habitat creation and restoration across seven cities in
Yorkshire and surroundings (Doncaster, Sheffield, Wakefield, Huddersfield, Selby, Barnsley, and
Rotherham), creating and restoring 60 ponds and improving 47 surrounding terrestrial habitats
for the benefit of amphibians and reptiles and a wide range of other wildlife. To encourage
widescale community engagement, particularly with communities currently under-served by the
Heritage Sector, we will deliver a comprehensive educational, enjoyable, and inclusive
programme of activities, including:

  • Wildspace Neighbourhood Wildlife Corridors
  • Wildspace Digital
  • Wildspace Speaking Statues and Wildspace School Parades
  • Wildspace Wildlife Gardening Workshops
  • Wildspace School Parades
  • Wildspace Amphibian Hops, activities for schools
  • Wildspace Festivals

The National Lottery Heritage Fund is funding the development phase of the project and we are
seeking to recruit a Fundraiser to gain co-funding required for the delivery phase of the
project. During the development phase, the Fundraiser will focus on securing the required
co-funding from private individual donations, corporate sponsorship for the project, commercial
income and organising a fundraising appeal. The Fundraiser will support the Froglife staff in
securing the required co-funding grants from Trusts and Foundations.

The delivery phase of the project, if successful, will be mainly funded by The National Lottery
Heritage Fund at approximately 71% of total costs, with the balance of approximately 29% derived
from other sources of funding.

The Fundraiser’s target is £105,000.

There is a total budget for the Fundraiser of £18,200 + VAT if applicable, based on a daily
rate of £350 x 52 days.
