How can you make a difference?

 

The position of Fundraising Officer (Corporate Partnerships) at the NO-B level in the Thailand Country Office, in the section of Private Sector Fundraising & Partnerships, reports to the Partnerships Specialist, Private Sector Fundraising & Partnerships, who is at the NO-C level.

 

The incumbent is responsible to develop new income opportunities, focusing primarily on companies and corporate foundations by implementing effective corporate partnership models and deploying innovative resource mobilization strategy, involving but not limited to, access to corporate partners’ customers/employees base and direct philanthropic donation requests. The role requires the incumbent to provide effective account management of existing and new partnerships

 

Major Responsibilities

1. Identify, research, meet and develop funding proposals for potential corporate partners and secure funds from companies, their customers/employees and their foundations that will maximize long-term income in support of UNICEF’s programmatic objectives. After which, provide effective account management, partnership recognition and ensure efficient reporting on the outcomes of all partnerships.

 

2. Build and foster strong relationships with new corporate prospects and ensure existing corporate donors are stewarded appropriately, resulting in profitable long-term partnerships.

 

3. Working cross-functionally with the programmatic team and especially the Partnerships Specialist (Public Private Advocacy) to identify funding opportunities and secure strategic partnerships that contributes income and support programmatic outcomes. Engage with relevant teams to contribute technical inputs to develop and present funding proposals, reporting or other necessary information for the corporate partners.

 

4. Develop funding/partnership proposals and other relevant materials for potential partners by working across UNICEF globally to identify relevant funding needs and preparing presentations for each.

 

5. Plan, organize and execute corporate fundraising events/campaigns/activities that will generate income and encourage corporate engagement in support of UNICEF’s programmatic objectives.

 

6. Mapping and manage screenings of companies and their foundations to build a prospective list of corporate partners in accordance with UNICEF’s processes and criterias. Maintain and continuously update the corporate database for targeted, current and prospective corporate partners.

 

Note: At all times the incumbent will be expected to work closely with colleagues (in Thailand, around the ASEAN region and in regional/head offices) to ensure that all partnerships comply with UNICEF’s policies for corporate partnerships and support UNICEF’s plans and priorities. They must also ensure that best practices are applied at all times in qualifying, cultivating, soliciting and stewarding donor relationships.

 

Impact of Results: By developing effective corporate partnerships, the incumbent can create significant new income for UNICEF to fund our work in Thailand, the ASEAN region and around the world. In addition, the post holder will help to achieve the Thailand Country Offices stated aims of working with the corporate partners to achieve our programmatic objectives.

 

Qualifications of Successful Candidate

Education:

• A university degree in one or more of the disciplines relevant to the following areas: Marketing,

Business, Fundraising/Philanthropy, Communications or related area.

Work Experience:

• 2 years minimum relevant professional work experience in sales and marketing, account management, business management, event management or fundraising.

• Outstanding interpersonal, negotiating and account management skills are essential.

• Experience of corporate partnerships and/or cause related marketing is a strong advantage.

Language Requirements:

• Fluency in English and Thai is required. Knowledge of another official UN language (Arabic, Chinese, French, Russian or Spanish) is an asset. (Valid TOEIC score of at least 855: Listening and Reading section, is required.)
