About usThe UCL Global Business School for Health (GBSH) at UCL East campus is an innovative business school preparing future healthcare leaders to disrupt and reimagine global health systems. GBSH is dedicated to training and developing the next generation of leaders in the global health economy by building on UCL’s proud tradition of cross-disciplinary academic excellence in education and research.About the roleWe are looking for a School Manager for GBSH

  • To lead the professional and administrative operations of a diverse and growing new business school, delivering operational excellence to contribute to the development of the School’s business model, operating model and strategic activities, and managing the schools public and external relations initiatives.
  • To determine and implement the School’s support strategy for teaching and research, in line with achieving business school accreditation and delivering a growth strategy.
  • To oversee, line manage and co-ordinate core business operations including student recruitment and marketing, careers, employer engagement, human resources, finance and research operations.
  • Lead on School and relevant Faculty and UCL initiatives.

The role will start on the 1st March 2025.For an informal discussion please contact Professor Nora Colton at .For any queries regarding the recruitment process please contact GBSH HR at .About youYou will be educated to degree level or equivalent or have substantial relevant experience with knowledge of the current national and international Higher Education sector including developments in funding, quality assurance and immigration.You will have a proven record of administration and management within higher education or a similar environment with experience of leading on strategic activities, recruiting, developing and managing a large team, change management, and promoting and providing excellence in operational management including setting service standards and monitoring performance for a range of support service provisions.You will demonstrate a good understanding of corporate aims and objectives and how these translate into effective budgetary management, with good financial acumen and IT skills. You will also have excellent team leadership and motivational skills, with the ability to negotiate with others and organize and prioritize a varied and demanding workload.
