Job DescriptionJoin our dynamic client, a leading group in the real estate/property management sector with offices based in Halifax, NS. With an ever-expanding portfolio, they are in search of a talented and motivated General Accountant to join their corporate finance team, ensuring timeliness and accuracy of key deliverables including financial reporting for a variety of entities.Key Responsibilities for the Job:

• Manage full cycle accounting for a variety of entities
• Cash flow monitoring
• Bank and investment reconciliations
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting packages
• Review submission of all statutory income tax filing
• Coordinate with auditors and external accountants, providing supporting documents for year-end review and audit
• Provide direct assistance and respond to queries from senior management
• Ad hoc reporting and duties as assigned

Experience & Attributes for Success:

• Post-secondary degree or diploma in accounting or finance
• Candidates currently enrolled in the CPA program, working towards their designation are strongly preferred
• Minimum 3 – 5 years’ working experience, ideally with prior experience in real estate related environments
• A self-starter, results driven team player and committed professional with analytical, problem solving and communication skills
• Strong attention to detail, prioritization and meeting tight deadlines in a fast paced, high pressure environment
