Millions of people use solutions powered by League to access, navigate and pay for care.The Role:The General Accountant will play a key role in the Finance team, supporting various accounting functions to ensure accurate financial reporting and compliance. You will assist with month-end close, account reconciliations, accounts payable, and other financial processes. This is an excellent opportunity for a detail-oriented professional looking to grow in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.In this role, you will be responsible for:

• Supporting the month-end close process, including preparing journal entries, reconciling accounts and validating financial results.
• Assisting with government filings to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Managing and tracking internal development costs to ensure proper accounting treatment.
• Performing balance sheet reconciliations and resolving discrepancies in a timely manner.
• Assisting the Accounting Manager to support purchasing and accounts payable processes.
• Assisting with financial analysis as needed to support expense tracking and reporting.
• Supporting audit and compliance activities by preparing necessary documentation and assisting with external audits.
• Supporting special projects and other tasks as needed.

About You:

• 2+ years of experience in an accounting role.
• Equivalent relevant experience in accounting is highly valued.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles.
• Experience with ERP systems, preferably NetSuite.
• Experience with Airbase purchasing would be considered an asset.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Google Sheet and other financial tools.
• Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, growing environment.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills

Security-Related Responsibilities

• Ensure access management is performed in compliance with the employee’s role and responsibilities
• Responsibility and accountability for executing League’s policies and procedures within the department/ team
• Notification of HR, Legal, Compliance & Security of any incidents, breaches or policy violations
• Compliance with Information Security Policies
