Deve Consult is a firm specialized in optimizing the operational processes of international solidarity by offering innovative services and tailored support in consulting, research, and training. We provide regional coverage in both West Africa and the Indian Ocean through our offices in Dakar and Réunion Island, but the combined expertise of our network of experts allows for international coverage, enabling us to better adapt to your specific needs.

Purpose of the call for applications

As part of the continuous improvement and expansion of our activities, we are looking to strengthen our pool of consultants, aware of the added value they bring to our overall development.

To achieve this objective, we are looking for experienced / qualified experts in MEAL (monitoring, evaluation, accountability and learning), who can be contracted by Deve Consult to carry out specific time bound deliverable(s). Ideal candidates will have proven experience in monitoring and evaluation in one or more of the following areas of expertise.

Candidates located in any country of East Africa or with a significant working experience in this region are strongly recommended to apply.

3. Qualification, Experience, Skills and Languages

  • University diploma in social sciences, international development, or related field.
  • At least five years of hands-on experience developing and implementing MEAL processes in various contexts. Experience working in humanitarian settings, and knowledge of international donors’ MEAL guidelines is a strong plus.
  • Solid track-record of using quantitative data collection (ODK, Kobo) and analysis (R, STATA, Power BI) tools is preferred.
  • Ability to produce high-quality analysis and reporting within set deadlines.
  • Experience managing a data collection team is an advantage.
  • Ability to work independently and as part as a team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Fluency in English or French with excellent written communication skills.
