Job Title: General Cover SupervisorLocation: Canterbury, KentContract: Full Time, Long TermStart Date: ASAPWe are seeking a dedicated and dynamic Cover Supervisor to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for supervising students across Key Stage 3 (KS3) and Key Stage 4 (KS4) in the absence of their regular teachers. This is a crucial role in maintaining continuity of learning and ensuring a positive and productive classroom environment. Our ‘Outstanding Ofsted Rating’ schools are leading educational institutions, dedicated to providing a supportive and enriching learning environment for students in Canterbury, Kent. Their commitment to academic excellence and holistic development ensures that every student receives the highest quality education.Your Role:

• Deliver pre-prepared lessons and resources according to the teacher’s instructions.
• Manage classroom behaviour effectively, using appropriate strategies to maintain discipline and encourage engagement.
• Provide support and guidance to students, addressing any questions or concerns they may have during lessons.
• Keep accurate records of attendance and any significant incidents during class time.
• Collaborate with teaching staff and senior leadership to uphold the school’s policies and standards.

Qualifications and Requirements:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is desirable.
• Enhanced DBS clearance and a commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children. (Or willing to obtain one)

• Experience working with Key Stage 3/4 students is desirable.
• Strong communication, interpersonal skills and behaviour management skills.
• Flexibility and adaptability to work with different classes and subjects.

• Relevant qualifications or training in education would be advantageous
• Right to work in UK
