The General Program Manager plays a central role in overseeing the planning, execution, and evaluation of CRD’s programs, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and donor expectations. Objective of the Position:
The General Program Manager provides leadership and direction for CRD’s programmatic activities, ensuring high-quality implementation, strategic alignment, and measurable impact. The role involves coordinating with internal teams, partners, and stakeholders to achieve program objectives while maintaining accountability and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
Program Leadership and Management:
- Oversee the design, implementation, and evaluation of CRD’s programs to ensure they meet objectives and deliver impact.
- Develop program strategies, work plans, and budgets in alignment with CRD’s mission and goals.
- Monitor program performance and ensure timely delivery of activities and outputs.
Team Coordination:
- Lead and mentor program teams, fostering collaboration and professional growth.
- Coordinate with research, operations, and communication teams to align program activities.
- Ensure clear communication of program goals and expectations to team members.
Partnership and Stakeholder Engagement:
- Build and maintain relationships with donors, partners, and stakeholders to support program implementation.
- Represent CRD in meetings, forums, and events to promote its programs and initiatives.
- Foster collaborations with local and international organizations to enhance program outcomes.
Monitoring, Evaluation, and Reporting:
- Develop and implement monitoring and evaluation frameworks to track program progress and impact.
- Prepare and submit high-quality program reports to donors, partners, and the leadership team.
- Use data and insights to inform program improvements and strategic decisions.
Resource Mobilization and Sustainability:
- Support the identification of funding opportunities and contribute to proposal development.
- Ensure efficient utilization of resources and adherence to budgets.
- Collaborate with the Business Development team to align program strategies with funding priorities.
Risk Management and Compliance:
- Identify and mitigate risks associated with program implementation.
- Ensure compliance with donor requirements, organizational policies, and relevant legal and regulatory standards.
Performance Indicators:
- Achievement of program objectives and deliverables.
- Timely and high-quality reporting to donors and stakeholders.
- Effective collaboration and communication across teams.
- Growth and sustainability of program funding and resources.
- Positive feedback from partners, stakeholders, and beneficiaries.
- Enhanced visibility and impact of CRD’s programs in the MENA region.
Educational Background: A master’s degree in public health is a must, additional degrees in social sciences, international development, or a related field and a PhD is an added advantage.
Experience:
- At least 10 years of experience in program management, preferably within the MENA region.
- Proven track record of managing multi-sectoral programs, including health, and/or sustainable development.
- Experience in donor relations, proposal writing, and resource mobilization.
Skills:
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English; proficiency in Arabic is an asset.
- Analytical skills with experience in monitoring, evaluation, and data-driven decision-making.
- Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple tasks effectively.
