Description of the Assignment: Geographic Information System (GIS) Specialist
Period of assignment/services: 10 person-days spread over 2 months
Competencies and Qualifications:
The Consultant should possess the following qualifications:
- Advanced Degree in geography, Geographic Information Systems (GIS), environmental management, environmental science, forestry, or other relevant field providing advance skill and expertise in GIS analysis, remote sensing, and environmental modeling.

- At least 10 years of professional experience applying GIS techniques and spatial analysis methodologies to environmental and natural resource management and/or experience working on projects related to carbon accounting, forest carbon monitoring or other similar initiatives. Previous similar work experience with UNDP or other UN agencies is an advantage.
- Submission of at least two qualified sample work of GIS analysis projects with projects under UNDP or other UN agencies demonstrating proficiency in spatial analysis techniques, data manipulation and visualization.
Proposal should be submitted directly in the portal no later than indicated deadline.
