As a Geography Teacher, you will plan and deliver engaging lessons that bring the subject to life, ensuring students develop a solid understanding of physical and human geography. You will also work closely with individual students to support their progress and prepare them for assessments. Your role will involve creating a stimulating learning environment that fosters curiosity and critical thinking, while promoting students’ awareness of global and environmental issues.Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging geography lessons in line with the secondary school curriculum.
- Support student development by providing one-on-one assistance and differentiated instruction where needed.
- Plan and organise lessons, fieldwork, and other activities that deepen students’ understanding of geographical concepts.
- Encourage student participation in discussions on global and environmental issues.
- Assess student progress, provide constructive feedback, and prepare students for exams.
- Collaborate with colleagues to organise cross-curricular projects and extracurricular activities.
Requirements:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is essential.
- Previous experience teaching geography at secondary level.
- A strong understanding of the geography curriculum and fieldwork practices.
- Excellent communication and classroom management skills.
- A collaborative approach to working with other teachers and departments.
- A passion for geography and inspiring students to explore the world around them.
