Contract Type: Long Term / Permanent, Full-Time / Part-TimeDo you have the ability to inspire students to explore the world around them and develop their geographical knowledge and skills as a Teacher of Geography?GSL Education are seeking a dedicated Geography Teacher to join schools in Hull starting in Easter 2025. Whether you are an experienced educator or an Early Career Teacher (ECT), this role offers the chance to make a positive impact on students’ academic journeys within a supportive school environment.As a Teacher of Geography, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality lessons that encourage students to engage with the world’s landscapes, cultures, and environments. You will play a vital role in developing students’ analytical and critical thinking abilities while fostering their curiosity about global issues.What you have to as a Geography Teacher:

• Plan, deliver, and assess engaging and informative Geography lessons in line with the curriculum.
• Inspire students to develop a keen interest in geographical concepts and global issues.
• Differentiate lessons to cater to students of varying abilities and learning styles.
• Maintain a positive and inclusive classroom environment, promoting respect and understanding.
• Support students’ academic progress and development through constructive feedback and guidance.
• Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices and contribute to the wider school community.
• Participate in school events and extracurricular activities to enrich the student experience.
• Establish positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues to support student development.

Geography Teacher Skills & Qualification:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent qualification.
• A degree in Geography or a related field.
• Experience teaching Geography at secondary schools.
• Strong classroom management skills and a passion for the subject.
• Excellent communication and organisational abilities.
• Early Career Teachers (ECTs) are welcome to apply.
• An enhanced DBS on the update service or willingness to apply for one.
