This is a full-time, permanent position starting in September. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering engaging and thought-provoking Geography lessons to students across KS3 and KS4, helping them develop a deeper understanding of the world around them.Key Responsibilities:

• Plan, prepare, and deliver high-quality Geography lessons in line with the national curriculum.
• Inspire students through dynamic and interactive teaching methods that bring geographical concepts and case studies to life.
• Differentiate lessons to meet the diverse needs of all students, including those with special educational needs (SEN) and varying levels of ability.
• Use a range of assessment strategies to monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback to support their academic development.
• Prepare students for GCSE Geography exams, ensuring they develop critical thinking and analytical skills.
• Contribute to the development and enhancement of the Geography curriculum and participate in department meetings and planning.
• Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that fosters a love of learning and encourages students to explore geographical issues.
• Participate in school activities, parent evenings, and professional development opportunities to further improve your teaching practice.

Requirements:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent, with a degree in Geography or a related subject.
• Experience teaching Geography at the secondary school level (KS3 and KS4).
• Strong knowledge of the national curriculum and assessment frameworks for Geography.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and motivate students of all abilities.
• Strong classroom management skills and a commitment to creating a supportive and productive learning environment.
• Passion for Geography and a commitment to inspiring students to understand and appreciate the world’s physical and human processes.
• Willingness to contribute to extra-curricular activities and field trips related to Geography.
