We are now looking for a GIS Officer to join us on a full-time, permanent basis, working 37 hours per week.
This is an exciting opportunity for a GIS professional with strong experience in spatial data management, mapping and analysis to join our dedicated organisation.
You’ll have the chance to work at the centre of a wide range of mapping and data activities, helping to support and develop the geospatial tools that underpin our vital work caring for one of the most phenomenal parts of the British Isles.

As a GIS Officer, you will act as the lead professional for GIS systems and spatial data, supporting mapping, database management and innovative geospatial solutions.
You will provide expert technical support across GIS platforms, including Earthlight, QGIS and online mapping systems, while maintaining and developing spatial databases to ensure accuracy, integration and accessibility of data.
Working closely with teams across the Authority, you will deliver training and support to staff, volunteers and students, helping to develop confidence in GIS systems and mobile GIS devices.
