Position OverviewThe Global Marketing Specialist for Food and Environmental will be responsible for developing strategic and tactical global marketing programs, aligned with the objectives of the business and regional sales and marketing, to drive global demand generation and increase win rate. The ideal candidate will exhibit a strong understanding of the Food and Environmental, including technologies, trends, customer needs, and competitive dynamics. The role will focus on leveraging that knowledge to build positioning, messaging, content, and integrated outbound marketing campaigns to establish a strong footprint for SCIEX to support business growth.Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Lead strategic global marketing programs for SCIEX Food and Environmental, focusing on strengthening the brand’s visibility and market presence across global regions. This includes driving initiatives that enhance brand awareness, expanding SCIEX’s footprint, and supporting key business objectives in the Food and Environmental sectors.
  • Develop value propositions and competitive positioning for SCIEX products by leveraging deep insights into customer pain points, needs, and buying criteria. This process involves identifying and articulating key differentiators that resonate with target audiences, ensuring SCIEX’s products stand out in a competitive marketplace.
  • Create messaging, creative identity, and marketing collateral for SCIEX Food and Environmental, ensuring consistency with the corporate brand hierarchy, business strategies, and initiatives. This includes crafting compelling narratives that align with global brand standards while addressing specific customer needs within these verticals.
  • Drive integrated global marketing campaigns designed to generate demand, build brand preference, and increase customer retention. These campaigns focus on boosting win rates and encouraging customer loyalty, while also ensuring that all activities are aligned with overarching business goals and strategies.
  • Monitor performance metrics, optimize marketing programs, and manage the marketing budget to ensure effective execution and high ROI across global regions. This includes tracking and analyzing key metrics to continuously improve marketing efforts, adjusting strategies as needed to enhance impact, and ensuring the optimal allocation of resources to achieve maximum results.

Education and Work Experience:

  • Minimum of bachelor’s degree in a biological or chemical science; MS or PhD preferred; demonstrated training and/or experience in marketing, business administration, or related field a strong plus
  • 5-7+ years’ experience in life sciences marketing, sales, and/or technical support roles with customer and account experience
  • Broad understanding of mass spectrometry technology and Food and Environmental; technical competency in one or more specific mass spec application areas highly desired
  • Demonstrated ability to translate market knowledge into impactful and differentiating value propositions, aligned to target customer personas.
  • Strong technical and creative writing skills, with the ability to turn complex concepts into clear and impactful positioning and messaging for sales and marketing content and campaign development.

  • Ability to perform exceptionally in fast paced, performance-oriented environment.
  • Experience working in a global environment and in a matrix managed organization.
  • Skilled in market research and VOC; strong analytical skills
  • Ability to multitask and manage competing priorities and changing business needs.
  • Strong interpersonal and influence skills.
  • Strong process orientation, problem solving and troubleshooting skills and a firm commitment to quality.
  • Travel (internationally) up to 30%
