As a Global Partnership and Stakeholders Engagement Advisor, you will be based in Brussels and join the Advocacy and Engagement department which works to shape an enabling environment supporting responsible business conduct by collaborating with businesses, stakeholders and policy makers.
About the role
Reporting to the Head of Advocacy and Engagement, you will:
· Contribute to developing and implement a strategic and structured stakeholders’ engagement approach in line with our ESG priorities
o Map ESG stakeholders in strategic way so as to be able to identify, prioritize and target the most relevant ones for each topic
o Proactively engage with global stakeholders who could bring more added value to amfori’s work and its members
o Nurture constructive relations with key ESG stakeholders when needed
o Monitor existing ESG partnerships and support teams on how best to capitalize, renew or end these when needed
o Define effective processes for partnership management
o Proactively engage and build new strategic partnerships and alliances to advance amfori’s priorities
Manage reputation in order to contribute to building a strong amfori brand.
· Provide briefings and support to technical teams for meetings with stakeholders when needed
About you
· A Master-level degree in Law, Political Science, International Relations or European Affairs with any other relevant to degree to be considered
· At least 8 to 10 years of experience in EU affairs advocacy and/or communications environment at an EU affairs consultancy, professional or industry association, corporate or NGO
· A native or near-native level of English proficiency, with any other EU language to be an asset
· Strong ability to work collaboratively and constructively in a multi-cultural environment
· Pragmatic, Organised and Proactive
· Solid networking/diplomatic skills – Existing network within international organisations/global forums would be an asset
· Good business acumen and some knowledge of supply chains
· A permit to work in Belgium
